Share settings
Share settings let another SimWorkflow account copy a reusable template. They do not give that account permission to execute your original workflow or see its runs.
Open this screen from the saved definition's footer menu. You need permission to edit the definition; see Workflow definition settings if the menu or action is unavailable.
-
Publish the workflow version you want to share.
-
Prepare and publish a View public detail Page explaining the template, its prerequisites and any setup the recipient must complete.
-
Open Share settings and choose a specific published workflow version.
-
Enter Template name, Template description, Detail page, and useful optional Tags. The name field accepts up to 80 characters.
-
Review the definition and Pages for sensitive literal data. Turn Share on on and select Save share settings.
-
Open the share link as the intended recipient and inspect the template before relying on it. A copy requires the recipient's own setup and permissions.
Although the version selector has a Latest placeholder, sharing requires an actual published version. A missing Page or version is a validation error, not an instruction to publish a draft automatically.
The template includes the selected definition and graph layout, available published task/Launch Pages, variable names without their values, and schedule timing copied disabled without input. Pages are copied on the recipient's first Save. Credentials, public-launch settings, public links and execution users are not a ready-to-run grant. Sensitive values typed directly into task text, parameters or Page content can still remain: inspect them before sharing.
To stop sharing, turn Share on off and save. This is not a way to recall copies another account already made. If a detail Page is unavailable, verify its publication and public-view restrictions before retrying.
